Highrise is no longer a free product.   If you enjoy it, you will have to pay a monthly fee.  Their base package starts at $26.00/month.  There are better solutions out there that fit a tighter budget.

This by far is one of the coolest tools I’ve posted so far. Highrise is not just a contact manager, it is a communication manager. A free count allows 250 contacts. You can purchase larger capacity contacts for a nominal fee. Highrise makes it easy to import your existing contacts seamlessly.

I am wow’ed at this product because of its ability to track communication. You are equipped with a page for each of your contacts. This page provides you a space to take notes for each conversation, email, or correspondence you make with this contact. This information is stored and easily accessible and searchable.

You also receive a free email address from highrise. It is called an Email Dropbox. Your Email Dropbox allows you to send emails to Highrise. For example, if you get an email from someone and forward it to your Dropbox, Highrise will attach the email to that person’s Highrise page. If they aren’t already set up as a contact, Highrise will automatically add them as a contact.

A very efficient Task manager allows you to add tasks with due dates and specific times. You also can set up a reminder service that sends you an email or SMS text message to your mobile when the task is due. You also can ask for Highrise to send you a summary of today’s tasks to your email every morning.

After reading several blogs, I am convinced this is a must-have tool for every youth pastor. In a world of senseless litigation and an epidemic of distrust toward clergy, tracking every conversation and correspondence can only be to your advantage in the long run. Even if you never use the information stored, you have the peace of mind that it’s there and you can reference it anytime you want.

This product receives a thumbs up from me!
